Hunza G

Story

Founded in London in 1984 by Peter Meadows, Hunza stood out for its innovative, textured fabrics and body-conscious silhouettes that embodied the spirit of the 80s. In 2015, Georgiana Huddart relaunched the brand as Hunza G, reimagining it for a new era. In partnership with Peter Meadows, she brought back the iconic Original Crinkle™ fabric and infused the brand with a modern perspective rooted in timelessness, simplicity, and inclusivity. At the heart of Hunza G is the proprietary Original Crinkle™ material - a textured, ultra-stretch fabric crafted with over nine million stitches per swimsuit. It sculpts, supports, and adapts to the body, offering a universally flattering fit in just one size.

Production

Hunza G emphasises transparency and visibility through its supply chain, ensuring regular communication with all facilities on their practices and regulations. Within all supplier contracts, Hunza G outlines its code of conduct and key workforce requirements, and non-negotiable laws, including human rights, equal opportunity, wages, trafficking, and modern slavery laws.

Ethos

Hunza G is committed to making responsible and ethical choices to minimize their impact on the environment. The nature of their one-size model reduces the risk of waste, and also allows their styles to see wearers through a lifetime changes bodies go through. They also are making efforts to make their manufacturing more sustainable. In its main dyeing facility, all waste water during the production process is purified to drinking water quality, which eliminates the damage to wildlife and surrounding environments. 86% of electricity in Hunza G’s fabric manufacturing facility is from renewable energy sources, and the facility holds certifications for quality, environment, and energy management.
