Shona Joy was founded in 2000 in Australia by Shona Joy Thatcher, born from her hand-painted designs. Production
Shona Joy works closely on ethical sourcing to ensure factories they work with are operating in line with their Code of Conduct (developed in line with the ETI Base code). Their partnerships have been designed to be aligned to organizations that are on the ground driving change – particularly those affecting women, children and the environment.
Shona Joy strives to create well-crafted and timeless pieces while empowering women, protecting our oceans and conserving nature. They are committed to minimizing impact and contributing positively to people and the planet. This work has begun to transition their fabrications portfolio, prioritizing options that are less resource intensive, and certified to industry standards to preferred and low impact fabrications.
