Paper Label was founded in 2013 in Vancouver, BC by president Teresa Lake and is proudly both woman owned and run. Paper Label designs operate at the intersection of loungewear and ready-to-wear to create luxury clothing with a relaxed, timeless style and effortless cool that spans ages.
Production
Paper Label partners with factories that are audited by internationally recognized social compliance standards such as BCI Fairtrade International, and WRAP. These independent third parties ensure that labor practices comply with workers’ rights, including wages, health and safety, discrimination, freedom of association, and child labor.
Paper Label strives to design with purpose, produce responsibly, and maximize wear. They choose fabrics that have the least negative effect on the earth. They consider water and pesticide usage during fiber growth, renewability of resources, energy and chemicals used during processing, disposal techniques, care requirements, fabric longevity, and biodegradability.
