After graduating from UNC Chapel Hill, Dakota started her career at Neiman Marcus as an assistant buyer in Fine Apparel, working with brands including Brunello Cucinelli, Etro, Ralph Lauren, and Michael Kors. Wanting to return to her home in Rhode Island without giving up her fashion career, she then opened Harper & Tucker, a contemporary fashion shop, which she co-owned from 2016 to 2025. In 2025, she struck out on her own to build Whitworth.
Whitworth is Dakota's vision - a stylist-led luxury boutique. Every detail is thoughtfully curated by her.
