Artesano was co-founded in 2014 in Miami by creative direcor Claudia Estrada and operations director Xavier Blum. Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Claudia and Xavier and are passionate about showcasing their homeland’s proud heritage of craftsmanship. All Artesano products are handcrafted from eco-friendly materials such as Toquilla straw, Piñatex, and Mocora Straw. Artesano works with artisans in Ecuador who hand weave each piece in their homes. Artesano hopes to help them continue with the tradition of their weaving craft that has been passed down for generations.
