Apparis

Story

Apparis (ah-pah-ree) launched in 2018 with a vision to redefine luxury fashion. French duo Amelie Brick and Lauren Nouchi aim to offer elevated alternatives that prioritize both style and sustainability. Their focus is on merging exceptional design with ethical practices, inviting you to enjoy style that aligns with your values. Apparis' collection focuses on luxe alternatives to furs and leathers that are vegan and cruelty free while also being crafted from recycled materials.

Production

Apparis' manufacturing partners are third-party audited through Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) or amfori BSCI. These independent third parties ensure that labor practices comply with workers’ rights, including wages, health and safety, discrimination, freedom of association, and child labour. Apparis also uses materials with certifications such as OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Reborn Recycled Polyester, Global Recycled Standard (GRS), and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). This helps them ensure that their materials are responsibly crafted, without the use of toxic chemic chemicals, and are derived from recycled or responsibly-managed raw material feedstocks.

Ethos

Apparis believes that styles and sustainability can coexist. They are a brand owned by women, led by women, and majority run by women - women who strive to craft high-quality, fashionable wardrobe staples with reverence for people, animals, and the planet. Apparis strives to be circular and cruelty free; they never use animal-derived materials (like leather, fur, feathers, down, or angora), and instead focus on finding animal-free fabrics that utilize recycled raw materials. While Apparis designs each piece with the hope you will wear it for a lifetime, they also offer a service to responsibly recycle Apparis pieces when you are finished with them.
