Story

Sancia launched their apparel collection in 2017 in Australia under the leadership of co-founders Angus Plate and Heidi Semetka-Plate. Sancia is the love child of traditional artisan craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetics. Inspired by world travels, a love for adventure and the carefree beauty of Australia, Sancia is designed with the modern jet-set in mind. With understated luxury at its core, Sancia stays true to its core ethos of artisanal, handcrafted goods made in small batches from sustainably sourced natural materials.
Production

Sancia produces their collection in collaboration with family-run and woman-owned factories in China. Sancia's partners are audited by internationally recognized social compliance standards such as SGS and WRAP. These independent third parties ensure that labor practices comply with workers’ rights, including wages, health and safety, discrimination, freedom of association, and child labor.
Ethos

Sancia is dedicated to sustainability and minimizing their impact on the environment. Sancia does not work with any synthetic fabrics, instead choosing natural fibers that are renewable and sustainably sourced. All of Sancia's packaging is plastic free and 100% biodegradable. Sancia's goal is to create functional, quality timeless pieces in high-end materials that are gentle with the environment.
