State of Cotton was founded in New York City by Robin Reis in 2021 when she could not find the perfect 100% cotton knit sweater. Her mission was simple - to create luxury knit pieces made of the finest Italian-spun Egyptian and Turkish cotton yarns in a variety of weights and timeless silhouettes. Impeccable fit and seasonless colors, and attention to every tiny detail defines the collection.

Egyptian cotton is handpicked to keep the fibers intact, resulting in a super fine and long yarn that makes the softest, most luxurious cotton. Turkish cotton is a premium cotton that has extra long fibers and is similar to Egyptian cotton for its luxurious and soft hand. State of Cotton uses these two types and combs their cotton, leaving only the longest, strongest, and highest quality fibers for spinning into yarn.
